Supporting Honnold Foundation's partnerand in-house creative communications.

Epix is the creative team behind the Honnold Foundation's impact reports, fundraiser films, and 16 partner organizations' stories, three years running.

Three years of ongoing partnership.

Our partnership started in 2023 to support Honnold's grantee partners with communication services: a program that continues to date. The work focused on both helping raise money from donors, and the work that shows where it goes.

Fundraiser Film. Featuring Alex Honnold, we created a fundraiser film that was showcased to donors and funders.

Impact Reports: We have designed both of their latest Impact Reports, the 2024 and 2025 editions, critical to donors who want to know in depth what Honnold's mission and work is all about.

Press Kits and distribution of two award-winning Amazon documentaries: Our Children's River and River of Spirits.

Non-profit Resource guide: Epix designed and made editorial review of a comprehensive 47-page guide for Nonprofits on topics such as Strategy, Fundraising and uses of AI.

Decks: Epix has designed decks for different events including SF Climate Week, ChangeNow 2025 in Paris, and an Alex Honnold and Bill McKibben fireside chat.

Social Media. Since 2024, Epix has been collaborating with Honnold with the copy, imagery and videos for their social media accounts.

2025 was the Foundation's most consequential year yet: $10M raised, $4.25M granted to 37 partners. Behind the donor-facing story sit not only the impact reports, the fundraiser film, and the decks our team produced, but the storytelling that amplified the partners' impact. Today we run year-round communications across all four studios for the internal communications team but also to grantee partners as extended support.

A lot of times, with small and local initiatives like ours, the budget for communications just isn't there. I'm really grateful for HF's support on this… It's very unusual.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you work with our grantees and partners?

Yes. For foundations, the partnership often extends to the organizations you fund. With the Honnold Foundation, we scaled communications support to 15 grassroots partner organizations across the world, working as a shared creative team for their whole portfolio.

Can you handle sensitive community stories?

With care, consent, and context. Our Mercy Corps work spanned maternity, neonatal, and food security programs, the kind of stories that required discretion and sensitivity. We work human-centered and trust-based: dignity-first framing, informed consent, and review with your program teams before anything ships.

What types of clients do you work with?

Mission-driven organizations: grantmaking foundations, funded nonprofits and NGOs, and impact-driven companies, typically US-based teams of 10 to 50 with active programs and communications. If that's you, reach out so we can learn more about your work.

How fast will we see work?

Your first request is typically moving within 48 hours, and most deliverables ship in days, not weeks. Larger pieces like films, reports, and websites get a clear timeline before work starts.

What if we just have one project?

Tailored projects run on a custom quote, the lane Mercy Corps and EU engagements used. Many partners start with one project and grow into a monthly partnership.

How does creative support for our partners work?

It runs through your engagement, not a separate contract for each partner. With the Honnold Foundation, we became a shared creative team for 15 partner organizations across Latin America: films, websites, and case studies made with them, in their language, at no extra lift for the foundation's team.
